THE EXTRA DEGREE
The 212° Sports Academy was established in 2016 and has had a positive impact on youth from the state of Iowa and the midwest through its wide variety of program offerings. The Academy specializes in individual and small group training, large group and team instruction, youth camps, and highly competitive club travel teams in both basketball and volleyball. The 212° Sports Academy was founded on the simple notion that one extra degree of effort, focus, and commitment can make a large difference in the success of a person. At 211° water is simply hot, but when the temperature rises one more degree that hot water begins to boil. Boiling water produces steam which can then power a locomotive to move. This simple metaphor is the basis of the 212° Sports Academy, as we motivate and encourage the youth in our program to push the "extra degree" with their effort, focus, and commitment to better their best on a daily basis!
